David Samson, multiple award-winning host of "The Nightshift," Saturday evenings at 10pm on KBCS 91.3 FM, threw a blues party at Bumbershoot showcasing three of the Northwest's finest slide guitar players.

These players included Doug "Louisiana Lightning" Kearney, a singer, songwriter and remarkable guitarist who cut his teeth on the "crawfish circuit" in Louisiana and East Texas.

Steve Bailey of "Steve Bailey and the Blueflames" is a 30+ year veteran of Northwest music; he has performed all over the world as a pacesetter in blues harmonica and slide guitar.

Billy Stapleton, formerly of "The Mark DuFresne Band" hailed from the "Fillmore West" era. He has been touted as one of the finest slide guitar players in the Northwest and has won numerous awards.
